T: Good evening Jackie ,how are you?

J: Good evening,oh I am fine I hope you ,too?

T: yes!
T: Jackie you are an Asian American, but the first time when you came to the US aou were an adult, how was this for you.

J: Ohh my god, yes the first time for my in the US were very very hard because, I searched a work in the movie buisness, and I was already a very popluar Person in China but here I was an Nobody. It was very hard for me.

T: What do you think, was the reason why you did’nt get a job very fastly?

J: Ohh I think ohh this is only an Chinese we don’t want an Chinese as an actor.

T: How do you get your first actor part.

J: I showed the people what I can do. And a lot of them were ardent, and so I get my first actor part. I can only say, you musn’t give up your hope, if you have enough self-esteem you can get everything you want.

Good evening Ladies and Gentelmen, today the 19th March 1991 something very terrible happened in south L.A. The 15 year old Latasha Harlin were shot by an Korean shop owner.
Latasha wanted to buy an orange juice and the shop owner thought she would stole it ,so she shot her in the back of her head. A lot of Politicans are now very unsure because they think this can be a reason for roits between AF an KA people. This were the latest news on KARRAP Radio.

- A lot of JA were shocked, when they heard about the bombing of Pearl Harbor ,because the don't feel like the Japanese ,who lived in Japan

-JA children sent letters to authority persons of the US and the want to know when there fathers will come back to them because they think they hadn't do any harm to the US.

-Most of the Ja children were very scared of the US Army soldiers when they marched them to the camps, because the had big rifles with big knifes.

-JA fought very hard for the US Army, although their families had been sent to internement camps.

-A lot of the JA lose all, while they were in the internement camp, but wenn the were let free, they were only given $ 25 and a transportation fare.

M:Good evening Mr. Smile.
R: How are you after that terrible shooting.
M: It is one month ago but I'm still shocked, I had never thought that my son could do such a terrible thing.
R:OK, what did your son say when he has come home from school to you.
M: ohh he said nothing, when i asked how school was, he answered everytime,that it was fine.
R:Did he have some friends.
M: NO he hadn't got friendships,maybe two with others asian but no one with americans.
R: Was he in conflict with the teachers?
M: No no the teacher liked he was a quiet and good pupils to the other pupils. I think they often mobed my little son.

Did you know that...

Korean Americans who came as a child to the US are called the 1.5 Generation. The are between the first and the second generation, the first generation was born in Korea( or china ..) and came as an aldut to the US and the second generation are these people who are born in the US as child of Korean Immigrants.
Cho Seung-Hui the gunman of the Virginia Tech Massacre was a men of the 1.5 generation too.
This generation is often very problematic because the are not second generation but the don't feel like the first generation either.
